Alkaline Vegan French Toast



Yummmmmm! French toast reinvented, but this time - low carb, low fat and high on the pH scale.


What you will need:

  • Paper loaf bread pan

  • Grape seed oil 3 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon 1-2 tablespoons

  • Nutmeg 1-2 tablespoons

  • Vanilla drops 1-2 tablespoons

  • Sparkling water 2 cups

  • Garbanzo bean flour 2 cups

  • Almond milk

  • Optional: 2-3 pinches of salt or brown sugar

salt - plain taste

brown sugar - sweeter taste


  1. Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.

  2. Mix your dry ingredients together in a bowl (garbanzo bean flour, cinnamon and nutmeg)

  3. Add sparkling water, vanilla drops, and grape seed oil

  4. "Fold" your ingredients (Do not mix it how you normally would, you do not want make the mixture "flat")

  5. Pour your mixture in the paper loaf bread pan

  6. Bake for 47 minutes

  7. Let cool for 30 minutes

  8. Heat your pan for about 5 minutes with grape seed oil

  9. Prepare your mix for your french toast (almond milk, cinnamon & vanilla drops)

  10. Soak your bread into your mix and cook in your pan immediately after

  11. Cook each side for about 8-10 minutes

  12. Serve with bananas, strawberries and blueberries. Add agave for taste.
